MESSAGE:
Leadership position comes with privileges and responsibilities. Many crave for it without considering the sacrifice therein.
In this text, Jesus calls believers to
servanthood leadership contrary to the system of the world that recognizes one
as boss, chief and ruler over others.
Jesus humbly served the Father's will by
offering his life as a prize to redeem us from the slavery of sin after which he was exalted (Read Philippians 2:9-11).
Peter also cautions that we must be eager to
serve willingly and not to lord it over these entrusted to us (1 Peter5:3).
Child of God, serving God faithfully requires that you emulate the servant leadership of
Christ, knowing fully that humility is the surest way to greatness.
Do you exert power to command respect?
Be reminded, you are called to servanthood.
REFLECTION;
Servanthood is demonstrated in humility.
PRAYER:
Lord, make me humble to serve faithfully. Amen.
MEMORY VERSE OF THE MONTH: MATTHEW 25:21.
“His master replied. 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your masters happiness".
