Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old............ Behold I will do a new thing....................... Isaiah 43:18-19.
God is not a man, and He has chosen to forget your past. He is doing a new thing for you. You have been born into an entirely new life in Christ. God is not looking into your past to determine your destiny. Your past identity or sins does not predict your destiny....... When Jesus came back for Peter his denial/betrayal error of the past did not matter.
None of us had a choice of our beginning- our color, race, where we are born, to whom we are born...etc, TIME AND CHANCE DECIDED THAT.. (Eccl .9:11), but we all have a part to play in how we end up in destiny.
Jesus was born in a manger but is now building mansions for people, Esther was an orphan who became a queen, Moses was a fugitive who became a national leader, Jephthah was an outcast who became a national hero, Rahab was an harlot whose name entered the hall of fame of Faith and the list continues....
Beloved you have a new identity in Christ. You are a son of God, a seed of Abraham, a citizen of Zion, in the family of Christ on earth. As you embrace your new identity, only then can you be free from the past and the hold of men over you.
As a new creature in Christ, old things are passed away (1 Corinthians 5:17) Your sins are no more and your past has no bearing with your future. It doesn’t matter how many are looking at your past, as long as you refuse to look at it, God will do a new thing with you and for you.
May your eyes of understanding be enlightened to see and appreciate your new you, and may you receive grace to lay hold on the new things God has for you in Christ Jesus name.
